Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before joining a Tasty México food tour.

QHow long is the tour?

The tour runs approximately 2 hours. We move at a relaxed, local pace with stops at 5+ food spots along the way.

QIs this a walking tour?

Yes, it's mostly walking. We cover a manageable distance — typically 1–2 km — through local neighborhoods. Comfortable shoes are recommended.

QIs the food included?

Yes. All tastings are included in the tour price. You won't need to pay for any food during the tour.

QCan vegetarians join?

Absolutely. Just let us know when booking and we'll adapt the experience to avoid meat-based dishes. Most stops have vegetarian options.

QIs it spicy?

Some dishes are mildly spicy. We'll always tell you the spice level before eating and can ask vendors to prepare milder versions for you.

QWhere is the meeting point?

We meet at Parque Fundadores in Playa del Carmen, near the iconic arch at the entrance to 5th Avenue. We'll confirm the exact spot when you book.

QCan I book a private tour?

Yes! Private tours are available for couples, families, or larger groups who want an exclusive experience. WhatsApp us to arrange a custom private tour.

QCan I bring kids?

Yes, kids are welcome. The food is generally kid-friendly and the pace is relaxed. We recommend children old enough to walk the full route comfortably.

QWhat happens if it rains?

We operate rain or shine in most cases — Playa del Carmen's rains are usually brief. If conditions make the tour unsafe or unpleasant, we'll reschedule or offer a full refund.

QDo I get access to the Tasty Passport after the tour?

Yes! Every guest receives a private Tasty México Passport — your digital guide to Playa del Carmen. It includes recipes, recommendations, your tour photos, cenote tips, and more.

QHow do I access my tour photos?

After the tour, your guide will add the photos to your private Tasty Passport. You'll receive the link (or QR code) at the end of the tour.

QHow many people are in each group?

We keep groups small — maximum 10 guests — to maintain a local, personal experience. Not a bus tour.

QIs there an age limit?

No minimum age, but we recommend guests be comfortable walking for 2 hours. There's no upper age limit.

QWhat should I wear?

Comfortable walking shoes, lightweight clothing, and sunscreen. Bring a small water bottle.

QDo I need to speak Spanish?

No! Your guide speaks fluent English and will translate everything. Part of the fun is learning a few Mexican food words along the way.
